Softness from nature alone.
Discover your fabric

The one you reach for.
The tee you linger in. The pajamas you change into early. The little outfit you love holding them in.
Some garments become part of your everyday life through the way they feel. Ceritella Native is a cotton material created for that kind of connection.
What you feel begins with what we keep.
A cotton garment’s soft touch can come partly from a softening finish added during manufacturing.
Ceritella Native takes a different approach. We preserve more of what nature gave cotton, then bring cotton selection, fabric construction and thoughtful processing together to create its distinctive feel, without adding a chemical softener.
For those who choose natural fibers and fewer added finishes.
100% cotton
Without synthetic fiber blends.
No added chemical softeners
Softness developed through the cotton material itself.
Water-only after dyeing
No soaps or chemical washing agents in the post-dye wash. No chemical finishes added afterward.
HANDFEEL EVALUATION · 100% COTTON KNIT
Soft by nature. Measured side by side.
Most soft cotton gets that way at the very end, when a softener is added to the fabric. Ceritella Native gets there on its own. We put it side by side with a conventional cotton knit, the kind used in everyday t-shirts, finished with a synthetic softener. Native still measured softer, moved more freely and recovered more fully.

Soft without the softener.
Native carries no synthetic softener, yet its surface measured softer than a conventional knit finished with one. The softness comes from the cotton itself, not a finish added at the end.
Moves with you.
More flexible, with fuller recovery. A fabric that gives when you move, then settles back into shape.
Composed all day.
Higher crumple resistance helps knits resist creasing as you wear them, so they look as easy as they feel.
FABRICS COMPARED
Conventional
100% cotton knit, typical of everyday t-shirts. Finished with a synthetic softener.
Ceritella Native
100% cotton knit. No synthetic softener. No added finishing.
A smoother glide.
In a separate friction test, Ceritella Native slid more easily, dry and wet. Less drag is part of what makes cotton feel smooth as it moves against you.

Handfeel results are from a single comparative evaluation (August 2026) of two 100% cotton knits that were not the same starting fabric, and are illustrative pending independent validation. Friction results come from a separate comparison. Results describe the tested samples; performance varies by construction.

Surface softness and flexibility
An August 2026 handfeel evaluation used an emtec Tactile Sensation Analyzer to compare two 100% cotton knits: Ceritella Native, made without a synthetic softener or added finishing, and a conventional knit typical of everyday t-shirts, finished with a synthetic softener. The two were not the same starting fabric. Ceritella Native measured 7.09 versus 8.46 on the TS7 surface-softness indicator (lower is softer), about 16% lower. Flexibility measured 3.90 versus 3.26 mm/N, about 20% higher. Recovery measured 80% versus 72%. Hysteresis measured 211 versus 368 µJ, about 43% lower, meaning less energy was lost as the fabric flexed and released. Crumple resistance measured 0.15 versus 0.09 N, about 67% higher. Each value is a single reading per fabric.

Surface friction
A separate comparison of 200 GSM, 100% cotton interlock reported dry coefficients of friction of approximately 0.14 for Ceritella Native and 0.23 for conventional cotton, a reduction of approximately 39%. Wet coefficients measured approximately 0.10 versus 0.28, a reduction of approximately 64%.

Understanding the results
These results come from separate sample comparisons. They are not a combined softness score, a consumer preference survey or evidence of reduced skin irritation. They do not establish softness retention after laundering.

Native brings a considered cotton experience to babywear, sleepwear and everyday essentials.

Questions
What does “water-only after dyeing” mean?
It describes the fabric’s manufacturing wash after dyeing. No soaps or chemical washing agents are used in that wash, and no chemical finishes are added afterward.
Are processing chemicals or dyes used?
Yes. Preparation and dyeing are part of making the fabric. Native achieves its softness without added chemical softeners.
How should I care for my garment?
Follow the garment brand’s care label. The water-only manufacturing wash is not an instruction to launder your garment without detergent.
Naturally cotton. Distinctly Native.
The difference is already in your hands.
